Photographer Samantha Slicer was commissioned by Biolinks Alliance to capture the natural aspects of the landscape within the Greenhill to Black Hill biolink. She spent many days during the summer of 2020-2021 quietly moving through the properties within the biolink, recording their beauty. 

Sam’s work has traditionally explored the intimate spaces of the natural world. She creates powerful and partial views of an ecosystem that contain a carefully constructed theatricality that draws the viewer beyond the surface and into the dark and secret places of her local environment.
